    What a beautiful family – inside and out!   This month their baby girl turned 1 and their big boy turned 3!  It is an exciting time for them, and the perfect excuse for new portraits!  They were so much fun to work with, and those eyes…amazing!  Thanks, Thompson Family, for a great shoot – and Happy Birthday kids!

    These are my three favorite children in the entire world!  My nephew, niece, and son brighten every single day of mine, and I love them more than they will ever know.  Their little faces just couldn’t be sweeter.  On my birthday, I set up a little impromptu photo shoot in my parents back yard, and my little models were pleased to cooperate!  I think I see a Christmas gift here for their Mimi and Poppy!

    Do you want to have your family portraits made this fall, but you just aren’t sure what to wear?  Well I’m here to help!  I have created 3 sample collections of fall clothing that would work beautifully in outdoor fall family portraits.  So often people get stuck in working with “fall colors” that they forget to have fun and be creative.  This season there are many alternatives to the standard fall colors, and stores like Gap, Old Navy, and Piperlime make it super easy to create great looks for your whole family!

     

     

     

    There are a few simple rules to follow when selecting clothing for portraits:
    1)  Reflect your own personal style
    2)  Don’t be too trendy – you don’t want your portraits to appear dated sooner than you expected
    3)  Don’t be afraid of color 
    4)  Choose outfits for your family that compliment eachother – they don’t have to exactly match
    5)  Choose clothing that fits and looks nice and new

    I had the best time shooting Callie’s Senior Portaits.  We traveled all over Northwest Arkansas, and we felt like we came away with some really fun images!  I have no doubt that this girl has a very bright future ahead of her!
