My Story:
Hi! I’m Monica Roberts. I have always loved taking pictures. When I was just a little girl, my parents bought me and my sister our own polaroid cameras. We took pictures of anything that would hold still. Those pictures still make me laugh. As I got older, I loved taking pictures of friends, “self-portraits”, and pictures of my travels. Once my son was born, my love for taking pictures grew into something even bigger – a way for me to document life through all ages and stages. Now, I have been given the opportunity to start my own business, and do what I love doing every single day. I couldn’t pass it up!
My Style:
I like creating images that are true to life and capturing expressions, emotions, and people as they really are. I want to get to know my clients – their personalities, likes and dislikes, their style. Not only does it help build a good relationship, but it helps make better pictures. Having your portrait taken can be a rather personal experience, so I think it is very important to get you to know your photographer and trust them and their vision.
My Loves:
I love my family. I love my son’s sweet face. I love destinations. I love car rides with the windows down, and the radio up. I love my iPhone. I love talking, and talking, and talking. And I love taking pictures.
My Life:
I moved around a little while I was growing up, but I have spent most of my life in Bentonville, AR. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Arkansas. While attending the U of A, I met and married the love of my life, Ben. We decided to stay in Northwest Arkansas and make it our home. We now have a son, Noah, who inspires me everyday.
